How to get here

From Sydney:

220 kilometres, 2.5 hours drive north from Sydney via the M1 Motorway (formerly the F3 Freeway).

From Newcastle:

50 kilometres, 45 minutes drive north from Newcastle.


Flights are available daily to Newcastle Airport, Williamtown (25 minutes drive to Port Stephens) from Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, Coolangatta, NSW North Coast (Taree, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour). Newcastle Airport flight schedule.

Hire Cars:

Trains are available to Newcastle Station. Buses connect with the trains for transfers to Port Stephens. Train timetables.


A coach service departs Eddy Ave, Central Station Sydney daily at 2.00pm for Port Stephens. This departs Port Stephens for Sydney at 9.00am daily. Look up the time table for Port Stephens Coaches.

Once you get to Port Stephens: 

Continue along Nelson Bay Road past Port Stephens Winery. You will travel for approximately 5kms and you will arrive at a roundabout. At the roundabout - take the 2nd exit (straight) onto Nelson Bay Road. Continue along Nelson Bay Road for approximately 1km until you arrive at a second roundabout. At the roundabout - take the first exit (straight) onto Nelson Bay Road. After approximately 3kms turn right into Frost Road and follow this to the t-intersection at the end, then you will see the resort. Turn right into Gan Gan Road, and then left into the driveway for Port Stephens Treescape Camping & Accommodation.
